The PIE that don't LIE: Savory Tuna Pie by Banapple

This is really the Pie that don't Lie! Truly a SAVORY Tuna Pie!

Before I tried this Banapple - Savory Tuna Pie, my sister always tells me to buy this for her, especially if I will go home to Bicol so my family can try this too. Unfortunately, I always forget and to be honest I’m not that interested ‘coz I know my sister is a food lover and she eats everything edible and safe (sorry sis).

Going back, I first tried this when my Trinoway Friends (Rox, Kariz & Arbs (<Zsa & Yham is not around>) went on Friday night dinner to celebrate Rox's post Birthday Celebration. That night, I wasn't that hungry and nothing on mind to eat when suddenly I remembered my sister saying "Buy me Tuna Pie in Banapple whenever you go to ATG" and there I ordered it. At first sight I was shock because I wasn't expecting it to be that big and to think it's served with salad too. Anyway, I still eat it and on my first bite the first thing comes into my mind is "My sister is right!" I should take her opinion immediately! It really tastes good! You can even lick your finger if you eat it with your bare hands. The Tuna is overflowing and the crust thickness is just fine that you can't even afford to leave a piece of it. To share its heavenly taste, I sliced some for my friends and they even like it than their food! Funny but they can't throw their food and order Savory Tuna Pie again. Waste Of money I say. They can order it anyway the next time around by the way.

Btw, we are not college classmates. We are from different school and just happened to bump each other in a National Marketing Student Organization called PHILIPPINE JUNIOR MARKETING ASSOCIATION. At first we thought each other as THREATS, we compete and represent our "beloved" schools to be a National Executive board of the said organization. But everything changed when we were grouped to make a Marketing Research. We got to know each other and built strong friendship that even now that we are already working professional still find time to meet and chat. A little info, Arbs is from Polytechnic University of the Philippines; Rox is from Colegio de San Juan de Letran; Kariz is from University of Santo Tomas; Zsa is from St. Scholastica's College; Yham is from National College of Business and Arts - Fairview and I'm from Centro Escolar University.

(Kariz Food - Lasagna Roll Ups)

Furthermore, yesterday someone gave a Banapple - Savory Tuna Pie. I really did not expect so I call that person "Stalker". It really makes my day so I took a photo while holding it with two emotions I felt that time; STARVED & SURPRISED

And now, I made up my mind to blog about this because I'm eating the last piece of it. Eating it little-by-little, satisfying my craving and enjoying my mouthwatering SAVORY TUNA PIE

The Hidden Beauty of BULUSAN, Philippines

Buluseño - This is what from other hometown calls us. We are just like other Filipinos; Cheerful, Family Oriented, God Fearing, Hospitable, Friendly and more.

Now a days, lot of people across the country visits Bulusan to discover its hidden beauty. Especially those Nature Lover and can live without Malls & Wi-Fi. When you touched down bulusan, you might think that's its just a small town and it will take you awhile to look around the place. But, when you tried to visits its natural beauty it will take you more than a day to fully enjoy it.

Mt. Bulusan - It is the 4th most active Volcano in Philippines but hikers and mountain climbers love's to climb this mountain despite of its alarming condition. If you're a first timer and just want to see the beauty of the place above the mountain, beside Mt. Bulusan is Mt. Agingay which is the best start for the beginners.  According to the folktale, Agingay is the wife of Bulusan which was killed by Irosin, his rival in Love to Agingay. When Bulusan died, Agingay killed herself together with their new born child right beside the mountain where his husband died. After the death of Bulusan family, the mountain was named to him and they called it Mt. Bulusan. Years had past,a mountain was formed right beside Mt. Bulusan and the town people called it Mt. Agingay.

Bulusan Lake - It's the lake beneath Mt. Bulusan surrounded by 100 years old trees. Buluseño are now trying to improve its facilities but insuring that they don't destroy its natural beauty. It has now waters sports like Kayak, Water Bikes and Raft "Balsa". Soon they will make a Zip Line from end-to-end of the lake for the tourist to see above the breathtaking beauty of the Lake.

Masacrot Spring - a man made spring which overflows water from the mountain. Its cold and fresh so you can drink it directly. But, of course you need to drink near where the water came out. People nearby enjoys coming here because they can get inside for free. But for tourist they need to pay for only Php20.00.Isn't it cheap!

Dancalan Beach Resort - The nearest beach in our place. My friends and I usually go here at night for the Videoke. This is our hangout place, one time a person approached and asked "do you guys own the beach" we know that they were just being sarcastic because they always see us there. But those are the old times. Most of us are working already and other is still studying in the city which is far in our place. But whenever I visit my hometown, I never miss to visit this place. Friendships and happy moments of our group "C.O.A." are built here.

Miligabiga Beach - This is the enchanted beach which is far in the town. I haven't gone here but people always remind the people who go here to behave. No shouting, loitering and the like. If not, you might get ill when you go home or drowned while swimming which might lead to death. Despite of these beliefs, tourist still visit this place specialty if you do Surfing. But you need to bring your surfboard of course.

Hulugan Falls - Free Back Massage! But you should have a strong body. It fells huge body of water which people enjoys. You can also swim here, there's an deep area where you can swum freely. You can mediate too if you like, just like Ninja's do. The place is solemn since it is far from the town.

Tinago Falls -I'm not sure if its really called "Tinago" my cousin just told me that they discovered this recently and he calls it Tinago Falls (it means Hidden in Bulusan). Which is really hidden and dangerous to go. It's located in a deep cliff where you need to climb down on the truth of the trees or vines. But, when you reach this falls all the sweat and running horses on you chest will be gone because of its wonderful beauty. Thumbs up to my cousin Sam and his friends for making go here.

This is the more than 100 years old St. James the Greater Parish Church Bell Tower. It was built during Spanish invasion, made of block of rocks. I once climb this tower and it's quite dangerous since there's no stairs. You need to climb the wall where there's only steel back. But when you reach the top, you can see the breathtaking view of mountains, rice field and the beach.

We Buluseño assures that we preserve the natural beauty of our home town that's why we oppose new and advance technology that will destroy it such as mining & geothermal plant. Because our town people livelihood depends on it, most of us are farmers and fisherman's.

These are just some of the hidden beauty of Bulusan and Philippines. Better visit the place and discover it by your own. Environment changes faster more than you imagine because of the new technology that we people invented. Some are useful and other DESTROYS our planet.
